Before Sproul Homestead was ever a business, it was simply the life we were trying to get back to.
After years of military life and living in places that never really felt like home, I knew I wanted something different for our family. I was tired of the city, tired of feeling disconnected from the kind of life I actually wanted, and ready to come home to something slower, quieter, and a whole lot more ours.
When we finally moved back home there wasn't some big plan to build a homestead business.. We just started living.
Hatching chicks came first. Then more. Then goats. Then milking. Then figuring out what in the world we could do with all that goat milk.
Little by little, the pieces started coming together.
What began as wanting more space and a different way of life slowly turned into caring for our herd, learning new skills, making things by hand, and creating products for our own family. Eventually, we realized we wanted to share some of those things with other people too.
And somewhere in the middle of all of that, Sproul Homestead became real.
